Mikey Sklar has an 8″ ruler tattooed on his right forearm. He uses it to measure everything from measuring PVC diameter to wire lengths as told on Scienceblogs.com.
He is in embedded hardware design and spend his time doing experimental building, transportation and energy these days, therefore, the tattoo gets used daily, he said.

Alan Dumond of aestheticsbodymod.com shows off his fresh super-cool scarification design of three lines near his left eye. The blue dot tattoo surrounded by these lines appears like a shooting star.
The cutting was done by Marea at Aesthetics in Indianapolis.
Moreover, you can’t think to miss his nostril and upper & lower labret. Lower labret wooden plug looks cool and what you can’t see here is his split tongue, septum piercing, cartilage plug, pierced and stretched ear.

Kat Von D makes her way into the Guinness Book of World Records for inking most tattoos in a 24 hours period.
On Friday noon she sat down for a contineous session of 24 hours to ink 400 tattoos at her High Voltage Tattoo parlor. Without food… without cigrette… and with just three breaks… she made the Guinness World Record for a cause as the money collected on the event will be donated to Vitamin Angels. The tattoos cost 20 bucks, and every 20 saved 80 kids from going blind. 400 x 80 = 32,000 kids, she said.
“During the entire 24 hour period, i never ate, and kept my consumptions of liquid to a bare minimum, to make sure i wouldnt have to stop tattooing to go to the bathroom at any point. i put on nicotine patches, so i wouldnt take any cigerette breaks. And during the entire 24 hours i took a maximum 3 breaks of no more than about 3 minutes, to drink an energy drink closer to the end, and to change into sweats at another point and stretch my hands which were starting to ache pretty fuckin bad.”
She also Apologized for inconvenience and Thanked all for being so supportive in realization of this record.

Sometimes some tattoos leave a mark in your mind and I guess this will be one among them. However, there are three different tattoo designs among which one is something like wavelength and others put my doors open yet to recognize.
Rytch owner and a nine year experienced tattoo artist of Sith Tattoo, Norfolk, has inked this tattoo on the neck of this gal.
If you know what is on her neck, it’ll be of great help. This is a cry for knowledge which you can share by leaving a comment!

Kat Von D, 25, the head-strong tattooist, who few months back walked out of ‘Miami Ink’ to launch her own show, ‘LA Ink’, on TLC, is looking forward to set Guinness World Record, and she’s imploring anyone who’s interested to help her do it. She is aiming at doing 400 tattoos in 24 hours.
She said,
So, we have been talking about setting the record for the most tattoos done in a 24 hour period by one person, since the Miami Ink days, and FINALLY we are gonna do it, here, in Los Angeles, at my tattoo shop!
Yes, as Katherine Von Drachenberg a.k.a Kat Von D has always shown up as an ideal and adventurous female today, with this announcement at her blog on myspace she has proved it again.
As she has mentioned earlier the record making tattooing session will be held at her tattoo shop i.e. High Voltage Tattoo/LA Ink, 1259 N. La Brea Ave., W. Hollywood, CA 90038; on Friday i.e. 14th December at 12 noon and ends at the exact same time the following day.

As per the rules of Guinness Board, the size of the tattoo will not be less than 2.25 x 2 inches, it will have a minimum of two colors and people under the age of 18 cannot get tattooed, moreover, who are getting tattooed must carry their ID.
Thus, she is going to do an ‘LA’ logo tattoo in two colors – Black and Grey that is approved by Guinness on the people who wants to be part of this event.
Appointments are not required to be part of this event as Kat will tattoo on a first come, first serve basis and will charge $20 for each tattoo.
ALL PROCEEDS go to Vitamin Angels…an awesome group of people who help stop kids in Africa from going blind.
(Vitamin Angels is a non-profit organization that provides supplements to developing countries and communities that are in dire nutritional need.)
The shop, which also serves as the setting for LA Ink, will be closed for regular walk-ins during the 24 hour record making session.
In August, Kat packed her bag to walk out of ‘Miami Ink’ due to the conflict with its Ami James. She was the only female artist/star in their show on the contrary in ‘LA Ink’ it is vice-versa as there is one male and all other females.
We Wish You Luck & Success Kat! 🙂

Now that is called true body modification freakiness. Dr Pangloss’s has got his labret, septum and earlobe pierced
The pen serving as the septum piercing jewelry caught my attention.
However, for some of yours curiosity I’ll tell you that septum piercing is performed in similar way like any other piercing with the needle. May for big holes dermal punches is used. Anyhow if you are not a chicken hearted person then you can also modify your body like this and be apart from the mob.
Update:
Dr Pangloss’s pierced at a 10g and has stretched it to 1/2″ since then.

Jeff Johnson of Newbury Park, CA, has updated his tattoo gallery with his fresh work of art.
His tattoos are incredible and I liked his Bio Organic face tattoo on an arm from his latest update. He said,
“I was given alot of artistic freedom with this piece so I had alot of fun with it. A crazy face with tubing and some geo light source.”
The tattoo was done roughly in eight hours.

While scrolling his full tattoo gallery I came across many other amazing pieces however, I’m adding this Translucent being over an all seeing pyramid tattoo on an arm from his previous works.

Yes, it’s true tongue piercing can at times be so dangerous to lead to you to your death-bed as it happened to Kate Donovan, 20, who died at a Boston hospital on Monday. She died of viral meningitis after getting an infection from a tongue piercing. (Source)
She developed an infection in the pierced tongue and even antibiotics did’nt seem to help, thus leading to severe headaches. She was hospitalized but unfortunately lost her life.
Tongue piercing is a very common trend and apart from being a fashion statement it provides more pleasurable oral sex. The piercing increase sexual stimulation, during fondling females tend to get the most benefits with a tongue ring as the ball of the ring can directly stimulate the clitoris and in males the ball acts as a massage for the movable skin on the shaft of their genital.
There are many types of the tongue piercings like surface tongue piercing, tongue web piercing done through the webbing under the tongue and tongue rim piercing which is on the outer edge of the tongue.

(Photo)
In some cases it is not that risky and gets healed in about a month with proper aftercare by rinsing the tongue regularly with salt water or mouthwash.
Bacterial infections and meningitis can be a complication from tongue piercing however, meningitis is not contagious. Meningitis is an infection of the tissue that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. It’s prominent symptoms may appear suddenly and include fever, severe and constant headache, stiff neck or neck pain, nausea and vomiting and rash. It is believed that the bacteria commonly found in the mouth and saliva possibly enter the bloodstream through the hole punched into the tongue thus leading to the firestorm of infection.
In addition to risk of infection, Hepatitis C and tetanus, the Journal of the American Association finds that tongue piercing can lead to trigeminal neuralgia, also known as the “suicide disease,” which results in facial pain resembling electrical shocks.
Here, I’m not scaring you from getting your tongue pierced but a serious recommendation – visit a professional and experienced person for it!

Maximum tattoo regrets are a result of broken relationship in which a lover inks his/her beloved’s name or portrait on their skin, perhaps to avoid any type of tattoo remorse here is an intelligent way of tattooing – “connect-the-dots” tattoo.
Let others guess your new tattoo design and you make it purely personal. Even if your lover walks away from your life, you don’t need to erase the tattoo because no one knows the hidden tattoo under the dots.
I understand that it is difficult to wear the same tattoo on your skin which reminds you of some unhappy relation but I’m sure there might be some pleasurable moments also in that bad relation, so remember that and get going.
Connect-the-dots tattoo is an awesome idea and really unusual. The visible invisible tattoo can be inked onto the skin like a connect-the-dots puzzle hiding the main design of the tattoo.
Colleen Venable is obsessed with giraffes, thus inked this connect-the-dots tattoo of the giraffe toy on her leg and gave me an intelligent idea to ink any tattoo onto my skin without any remorse.
As part of her art project The Stalking and Murdering of a Childhood Giraffe Project, Colleen decided to get an “extremely visible invisible tattoo”: a connect-the-dot tattoo of the giraffe toy. (She traced the giraffe with a pen for us all to see)
The tattoo was inked by Dave C. Wallin of Tattoo Culture, Brooklyn, NY, who has a professional experience of sixteen years in Texas, Hawaii, and NYC and specialize in custom designs and drawings for each client.

Recently, a Phuket tattooist inked an extraordinary tattoo on the arms of a Geelong supporter. Poor Neville had never thought that his idea of celebrating the team’s premiership victory with a tattoo would leave everyone mocking at him.
He spent around $150 to get his team inked as “Gay Premiers 2007” 😆 – misspelled “Day”.
The tattooist opened doors of his stupidity when he inked exactly same words from a piece of paper on which Neville had clearly instructed what to be tattooed on right and left arm under the heading: “Right Arm” and “Left Arm”. The tattooist became the king of all copy-cats when he copied the “Right Arm” and “Left Arm” also, which were written on the paper to make the delineation clearer.
Last year something similar happened for which the tattooist was sued by the customer who wanted a Boca Juniors logo on his back but got a lewd penis tattoo by the tattooist because the artist was a supporter of River Plate– Boca Juniors rival. Poor guy could not see what his artist was inking on his back, as he was not provided with a mirror. 😆
Therefore, it’s a humble request to keep a vigilant eye on your artist before he/she gives you a remorseful body art.
